Shaanxi Provincial Key Laboratory of Structures and Seismic Resistance

The Shaanxi Provincial Key Laboratory of Structure and Seismic Resistance was founded in 1956, with 15000 m² of experimental rooms, more than 1000 sets of instruments and equipment, with a total value of more than 80 million yuan. It relies on the national key discipline of Structural Engineering, the Civil Engineering Postdoctoral Mobile Station and the first-level discipline doctoral program, and has won excellent results in four consecutive evaluations of Shaanxi Province. The laboratory focuses on the research fields of structural engineering, earthquake resistance and disaster reduction, and has formed a series of characteristic research directions with outstanding advantages. It has undertaken a large number of national, provincial and ministerial key scientific research projects, and has achieved a series of important scientific research achievements, which have been widely applied in the seismic reinforcement and reconstruction of buildings in the western region, and has made important contributions to the earthquake resistance and disaster reduction cause of Shaanxi Province and the whole country.
