An De College Visits Adelaide University for an Academic Exchange Program

From July 25 to August 8, a delegation of 26 faculty members and students from An De College visited Adelaide University in Australia for a 14-day academic exchange program. Designed to advance international talent development, broaden students’ global perspectives, and enhance their intercultural communication skills, the program integrated campus visits, cultural and natural experiences, and discipline-specific practical training, providing an enriching platform for mutual learning and exchange between the two universities.
During the visit, Adelaide University hosted a welcome reception, where students engaged in face-to-face discussions with professors and current students and gained a deeper understanding of overseas learning environments and educational approaches. The delegation also explored the university’s academic and practical facilities, including the Engineering Faculty Building and acoustics laboratories. Students participated in discipline-specific classes and hands-on training, experiencing an international academic environment and strengthening their understanding of their respective fields. Outside the classroom, the delegation visited destinations including a German village and a wildlife park, experiencing Australia’s natural landscapes and multicultural society firsthand. These experiences broadened their international perspectives and encouraged them to reflect on the similarities and differences between Chinese and Australian cultures and educational environments. At the conclusion of the program, Nina James, Academic Director of International Programs at Adelaide University, and Jinming Duan, Academic Supervisor of An De College, presented certificates of completion to all participants.
Through this exchange program, XAUAT students enhanced their professional knowledge and practical skills while gaining a deeper understanding of different cultures through firsthand international experiences. The program also provided a valuable platform for the two universities to further strengthen their international cooperation and offered valuable experience for XAUAT in advancing international talent development. Looking ahead, the two universities will continue to deepen cooperation in areas including student exchange, faculty mobility, and joint research, working together to cultivate versatile graduates with global perspectives and an innovative spirit.
